Job Overview:
Bayshore Plumbers is seeking hardworking, reliable, and motivated Plumbers (Helpers / Laborers) to join our field operations team. This role focuses on hands-on labor, including excavation, digging, pipe installation, sewer/water line work, demolition, concrete/asphalt cutting, hydro jetting support, and operating equipment under supervision.
This position does not require sales responsibilities. Customer interaction is limited, but team members must be able to communicate basic information in English when needed.

Key Responsibilities:
- General Labor & Field Support
- Assist with plumbing installations, replacements, and repairs
- Perform digging, trenching, backfilling, and jobsite cleanup
- Support re-pipes, re-drains, water main installations, and sewer line projects
- Assist in demolition work, including concrete and asphalt cutting and removal
- Underground & Sewer/Water Line Work
Support crews performing:
- 2-way and property-line cleanouts
- Sewer spot repairs
- Under-slab plumbing repairs
- Trenchless and Perma-Liner operations
- Street work and traffic control awareness
- Equipment Support & Operation
- Assist with or operate machinery under supervision:
- Bobcat
- Excavator
- Pipe fusion tools
- Follow all trench safety and shoring procedures
- Plumbing Task Support
- Basic water and gas pressure tests
- Assist with sweating, fusing, and assembling pipes
- Support installation of:
- Faucets, disposals, laundry boxes, refrigerator lines
- Shower valves, waste and overflow assemblies
- Earthquake valves, auto shut-off valves
- Gas lines (under supervision)
- Standard, heat pump, and tankless water heaters
- Assist with hydro jetting, sewer camera inspections, and locating systems
- Team Collaboration & Safety
- Work closely with installers, technicians, and foremen to complete jobs.
- Follow safety protocols for excavation, confined spaces, tools, and machinery.
- Maintain clean work sites and handle materials and tools properly.
- Follow supervisor instructions and maintain a positive team attitude.
Qualifications:
- Experience in plumbing labor, underground work, construction, or related trades preferred
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks (digging, lifting, carrying, bending)
- Familiarity with plumbing or underground utilities is a plus
- Must be able to speak and understand basic English to follow instructions and communicate with supervisors/customers.
Preferred Technical Skills:
(Experience in any of the following is highly valued, per the internal skills assessment)
- Hydro jetting
- Sewer camera & locator usage
- Re-pipes & re-drains
- Cleanout installations
- Water main and sewer line work
- Trenchless systems, Perma-Liner operations
- Operating Bobcat, excavator, fusion tools
- Concrete and asphalt work
- Traffic control awareness
- Trench safety & shoring
Other Requirements:
- Must be dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must be able to commute to Redwood City, CA
- Must have a strong work ethic and willingness to learn
