Key Responsibilities:
- Plumbing System Installations
- Install full plumbing systems for residential and commercial projects (based on sold jobs).
- Perform high-quality installation of:
- Water heaters (standard, heat pump, tankless)
- Water filtration systems
- Sump pumps & ejector pumps
- Gas lines & gas valves
- Water supply and waste piping
- Laundry boxes, refrigerator lines, garbage disposals
- Toilet installations, hose bibbs, shower valves, waste & overflow units
- Technical Skills & Workmanship
- Perform water and gas pressure tests.
- Sweat, fuse, and join pipes using appropriate materials and techniques.
- Interpret and install according to blueprints, site drawings, and manufacturer instructions.
- Operate and understand pipe fusion tools and specialty installation equipment.
- Maintain full awareness of material needs, installation planning, and workflow sequencing.
- Understand and follow all relevant plumbing codes and compliance requirements.
- Inspection & Job Quality Assurance
- Inspect installed systems to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance.
- Use sewer cameras and locators when needed.
- Verify proper system operation before completion and customer walk-through.
- Customer Interaction
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers during installation.
- Explain installation details, system operation, and any relevant safety notes.
- Maintain Bayshore’s standard for clean, respectful, and organized job sites.
- Team Collaboration
- Coordinate with service technicians, office staff, and other installers to ensure smooth project execution.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and uniforms in clean and proper working condition.
- Uphold Bayshore’s craftsmanship standards and contribute to a positive team environment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in plumbing installation work.
- Must be able to speak and understand English well enough to communicate with customers.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment, bend, crawl, and use power tools as required.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to commute to Redwood City, CA.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- High attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
